Tips to avoid chapped lips

Some skin problems are seasonal, and you're probably prepared for most of them by using a face cream, a light facial oil, or a moisturizer. But some skin problems are present all year round, and one problem that never gets enough attention is chapped or dry lips 1,2 .

Since it is a problem caused by cold air, dry air or too much time in the sun, you could experience it 365 days a year. Fortunately, the solution is simple and here are some tips:

Avoid licking your lips:

  • Licking your lips may temporarily moisten them, giving you instant comfort, but it will only make things worse in the end. Saliva evaporates very quickly and can lead to dry lips.

Ultra Moisturizing Chapstick

Don't forget to use sunscreen:

  • Just like the rest of the skin on your body, your lips need protection from the sun too. Sunny days can cause your lips to crack, so avoid excessive sun exposure and make sure to protect them while you're outdoors with Chapstick Ultra Moisturizer containing SPF 15.

ChapStick MED

Use a repairing lip protector:

  • Your average lip balm may work most of the time, but it can fall short when it comes to caring for chapped lips. Dry lips require a little extra care and the use of certain moisturizing ingredients, which you can find in an advanced formula. Try ChapStick MED that moisturizes, protects and repairs your dry, chapped lips.

Hydrate yourself:

  • Remember to stay hydrated throughout the day as this helps your lips look moisturized and soft.
